Allahumma gharatin nujoom, wa hada’atil oyoon, wa anta Hayyun Qayyoom, la ta-khuzuka sinatuw wala nawm. Ya Hayyu ya Qayyum, ahdi layli wa an’im ‘ayni.
Supplication
Allahumma gharatin nujoom, wa hada’atil oyoon, wa anta Hayyun Qayyoom, la ta-khuzuka sinatuw wala nawm. Ya Hayyu ya Qayyum, ahdi layli wa an’im ‘ayni.
Translation
O Allah, the stars have gone away and the eyes have rested and you are alive and sustaining, neither sleep nor sleep comes to you. O living and sustaining one, give me rest that night and let my eye rest.

Hazrat Musturad bin Shaddad (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
Example of Duniya with water
By Allah, the example of this world as compared to the hereafter (Aakhirat) is as if one of you dipped his finger into the river and took it out, then he saw how much water was on his finger. That is, just as the water on the finger is very little compared to the river, so the life of this world is very little compared to the Hereafter (Aakhirat).

Hazrat mastoorad bin Shadad (RA) farmatay hain ke Rasoolullah (SAW) ne irshad farmaya : Allah ta’ala ki qasam duniya ki misaal akhirat ke muqaabla mein aisi hai
Duniya ki misaal paani se
jaisay tum mein se koi shakhs apni ungli darya mei daal kar nikalay phir dekhe ke paani ki kitni miqdaar lagi hui hai y’ani jis tarah ungli par laga huwa pani darya ke muqaabla mein bohat thoda hai aisay hi duniya ki zindagi akhirat ke muqaabla mein bohat thodi hai.

Goldsmith event in English
It is well known that Ibn Jawzi (RA)
wrote that there was a goldsmith who
used to fill his house with water by a
young man for eighteen or twenty years.
When he came home in the afternoon,
he saw her crying and asked,
“What happened?” She said that she
had been working for eighteen or
twenty years and we had so much
confidence. It turned out to be so
unfortunate that today she grabbed
me by the arm and pressed me with
lust then the goldsmith got tears in his
eyes, his wife asked him Why are you
crying? He said that it was not his fault,
it was my fault.
The wife asked who it was.
The water filler came toapologize.
Excuse me. I will never do that again.

Mashhoor waqiah hai Ibn Jozi ne yeh
likha hai farmatay hain ke ek sunaar
tha is ke ghar aik nojawan athaara
bees saal se pani bhara karta tha ek
din jab woh pani dene ke liye aaya
aur uski biwi ne darwaaza khola tho
is ne paani tho bhara magar un ki biwi
ka haath pakad kar shehwat se dabaya.
Sunaar ghar aaya?
Jab dopehar ke waqt woh ghar aaya
is ne dekha ke biwi rorhi hai poocha
kya huwa? kehnay lagi yeh athaara
bees saal se kaam kar raha tha itna
hamein is par a’etmaad tha, yeh aisa
badbkhat nikla ke aaj is ne mera bazoo
pakad kar shehwat ke sath dabaya tho
is sunaar ki aankhon se ansoo aagaye
biwi ne poocha aap kyun rorhe hain?
woh kehnay laga ke yeh is ka qasoor
nahin hain

ye mera qasoor hai aaj mere paas ek
aurat zewar kharidne aayi thi is ne
choodian khareedain, kehnay
lagi mujhe zara pehnao mujhe uskay
haath khoobsoorat lagey mein ne
uskay hathon ko shehwat se dabaya,
uskay nateeja mein meri biwi ke
hathon ko shehwat se dabaya gaya,
phir woh kehnay laga aaj mein tauba
karta hoon aur wada karta hoon ke
aaj ke baad aisi kotahi nahi karoon
ga yeh kehkar woh chala gaya thodi
der ke baad wohi paani bharnay
wala aaya darwaaza khitkhitaya
biwi ne poocha kon ho kehnaylaga
pani bharnay wala ma’azirat karne
aaya hoon mujhe maaf kar dein mein
aaj ke baad aisa kabhi nahi karoon ga.
